A quick look at forecasts for available wind generation in NSW for this evening 14th December 2023

Throughout today we have been keeping a close eye on the NSW region, where a tight supply-demand balance is expected this evening. This week we have already written several articles related to this:

To add to our coverage, I wanted to share a screenshot from our Forecast Convergence widget which shows the P30 forecasts for Semi-Scheduled Wind UIGF in NSW. We can see that wind availability in the region is currently expected to be 1,039MW at 18:00 (NEM time) – the period coinciding with a current forecast LOR2 –  with wind availability expected trough later in the evening.
