In between the almost hourly market events over the past few weeks, we’ve been trying to complete preparations for the presentation we’ve been invited to give tomorrow to the EUAA’s Electricity Committee:
Paul was one of the founders of Global-Roam in February 2000. He is currently the CEO of the company and the principal author of WattClarity. Writing for WattClarity has become a natural extension of his work in understanding the electricity market, enabling him to lead the team in developing better software for clients.
Before co-founding the company, Paul worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the Queensland Electricity Commission in the early 1990s. He also gained international experience in Japan, the United States, Canada, the UK, and Argentina as part of his ES Cornwall Memorial Scholarship.
It’s Tuesday 5th August 2025, my second day back in the office – and this is my first article on WattClarity since this article on Friday 27th June 2025. On Monday 31st October 2022 we released GenInsights Quarterly Updates for Q3 2022 – second in the expanding series, following customer requests for updates of GenInsights21
On Thursday 17th March, Jonathon Dyson presented at the CEC Wind Industry Forum in Melbourne about the increasing role of auto-bidding and self-forecasting in the modern-day NEM. In this article, he shares some of the key points from that presentation.
Today, more than 14 months after the publication of GenInsights21 we’re sharing Key Observation 15 of 22, relating to self-forecasting for Semi-Scheduled units.
