Price volatility in the South Australian region on Monday 13th December 2021

Ironic that we’re compiling the many different components for GenInsights21 today (summary to finish off) for release this week and my phone would continue buzzing with high price alerts in the South Australian region.

Here’s a snapshot of the 13:10 dispatch/trading interval from our NEMwatch entry-level dashboard with the price just over $10,000/MWh:

Not the first time the price has been above $300/MWh today, and won’t be the last…
