An article from Weatherzone prompts a look (via ez2view) at forecast aggregate Wind Farm Capability in the coming days – we might come close to a new record.
Anthony Sharwood’s article ‘Wild winter winds hit 156 km/h in Tas, 128 km/h on mainland’ prompts me to have a quick look at wind production in Tasmania in recent days.
A social media update talking about forecast high wind speeds in the coming week prompts me to check forecast aggregate wind farm production.
We’ve clocked over into Friday 26th July 2024 – here’s a quick record of how wind yield from Wind Farms across the NEM has been on a sustained high the past week.
A quick look (on Sunday 17th July 2024) at recent NEM-wide wind production patterns into 2024 Q3.
Ashleigh Madden of Weatherzone reports on some unusual weather activity scheduled to impact QLD, NSW, and SA wind generation – stemming from a high pressure system moving towards the Tasman sea.
… it does not seem logical that both can be true, but (from our look at the numbers) it does appear to be!
An (initial and) short review of the solid block of high aggregate wind yield over the ~3 day date range (late Tuesday 28th May 2024 to late Friday 31st May 2024) … and how much this was expected in advance.
A short note (on Thursday evening 30th May 2024) to record the NEM-wide wind production exceeding the prior ‘all time’ record, set 11 months previously. More remarkable after a very lacklustre last ~8 weeks.
Unlike the first ~28 days in the month of May 2024, the aggregate production of power from Wind Farms across the NEM has ramped up from late Tuesday 28th May and reached a high point Thursday morning 30th May 2024 only 371MW below the all-time maximum production.
It’s Wednesday morning, 29th May 2024 and we’re seeing what’s easily the highest aggregate instantaneous production from Wind Farms in the month of May 2024.
A short article capturing how NEM-wide wind production rose above 6,000MW briefly in the morning of Tue 23rd April 2024 … first time since the afternoon of Tue 2nd April 2024.
