Accompanying this 20-page PDF was an email that read:

‘Today, AEMO published the draft Go-Live Plan for the Project EnergyConnect Market Integration (PEC-MI) initiative.
The market integration of PEC will be delivered through three coordinated, Go-Live processes:

(a)  13 August 2026 – Establishment of the PEC interconnector and inclusion in Settlement Residue Auctions (SRA).

(b)  1 October 2026 – Planned commencement of loop operation in AEMO’s market systems,

(c)  1 November 2026 – Planned commencement of loop-based settlement arrangements aligned with the start of the settlement week.

The supporting Go-live Plan provides an overview of the planned cutover and go-live approach for the integration of PEC within AEMO market systems and processes.

The purpose of this document is to:

(a)  outline the regulatory and operational context for the introduction of the PEC interconnector into AEMO’s market systems

(b)  describe the high-level cutover approach and timing, including the transition to loop operations in dispatch and settlements

(c)  provide transparency on governance, decision points, and contingency handling.

Please find the PEC-MI draft Go-Live Plan on the Project EnergyConnect – Market Integration webpage for your review. AEMO welcomes participant feedback via NEMReform@aemo.com.au by 3rd July 2026.

To support a safe and orderly transition, AEMO will implement a coordinated cutover approach including a pre-production (PPD) trial, phased system deployment, and structured validation activities. Further details are included in the draft Go-Live Plan. ’
