More than 40,000 customers without power in NSW on Wednesday 2nd July 2025 after wild weather overnight

ABC News are reporting that more than 40,000 customers are without power this morning across the Ausgrid, Endeavour and Essential distribution networks in NSW. A powerful coastal low-pressure system, often referred to as a “bomb cyclone,” has battered the state. The storm has brought damaging winds and torrential rain, causing widespread disruptions and prompting emergency responses across the state.

BOM are currently expecting damaging south westerly winds in the state’s South Coast, Mid North Coast and Northern Tablelands to ease from Thursday.
