Sarah Lawley noted the New Year’s Eve volatility as it was occurring on LinkedIn , and for completeness I’ve added this here as a short note – starting with the run of most of the prices exceeding $1,000/MWh captured in this SMS alert window:
Here’s the NEMwatch snapshot from 19:35 (NEM Time ) showing the SA 5-minute dispatch/trading price up at $4,093.33/MWh:
