Price volatility on Monday 17th May 2021 … as expected (part 1?)

Was speaking with someone this morning about the expectation that there would be price volatility this evening, and the market obliged.

It’s only just started, but here’s the second spike (at 17:40) captured in a snapshot from NEMwatch v10:

Here’s the first two spikes (at 17:00 and 17:40) as captured in SMS alerts which are available in both NEMwatch v10 (Platinum Model) and in ez2view:

As I hit ‘publish’ prices have also been up for 17:50 and 17:55 (in NSW, VIC and SA).

A very short article today (my shortest ever?), but this will serve as a contemporaneous record that might be referred back to later (in part 2 and so on).
