Whilst garnering nowhere near the amount of attention, including by us, as does Callide C4 (which is <40 days till RTS), it’s also worthwhile highlighting that Barron Gorge hydro plant in far north Queensland is also planned to be back online a day after Callide C4.

No sooner had I published this article about ‘Berrybank 1 Wind Farm recommences operations, on Friday morning 7th February 2025’ than I received an ez2view alert on the restart of neighbouring Berrybank 2 Wind Farm.
Unit 3 at Yallourn Power Station came back online early this afternoon. Recent flooding at the power station’s adjoining mine has impacted it’s fuel supplies in recent weeks.
This morning we see that there’s been another slippage of expected return to service for Callide C3 – which will now have been offline over 8 weeks since the explosion at nearby Callide C4.
