AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE

Esso Australia have advised that Longford gas production has been exempted from the current MUA Protected Industrial Action – production has returned to planned levels.

Esso Australia statement:

“Esso Australia is pleased to advise that during a conference at the Fair Work Commission on Saturday 17 June, the MUA advised that activities carried out by the vessels Skandi Darwin and Skandi Feistein to support the production of gas from Esso Australia’s Bass Strait operations will be exempt from the current Protected Industrial Action (PIA).

Work to support maintenance and decommissioning projects undertaken by the Skandi Darwin is still subject to the PIA, however this is not expected to impact gas production.

As a result, forecast gas production from Longford has returned to planned levels.”
