Every extra little bit may help: 50MW temporarily added to QNI limit

As of 12:00AM this morning the limit for QNI flows from NSW to QLD has been temporarily increased from 700MW to 750MW. The notice stated that this has been done to facilitate testing of the new limit. The new limit will apply until 11:59PM Sunday 5th February.

There is an opportunity for testing QNI Minor for flows up to 750 MW. The NSW to Qld limits will be temporarily increased from 700 to 750 MW from Friday 3rd February at 0000hrs through to Sunday 5th February at 2359hrs to facilitate this testing.

This test will not include a trip and reclose of a line in northern NSW and is for monitoring oscillatory stability.
