The vast disconnect between prices DUIDs say they need to run, and market capped prices

As we know, we’re under Administered Pricing in the QLD region … but this is having network effects well beyond the QLD region (butterfly wings and all).

Take this snapshot of the 16:45 dispatch interval in our ez2view software containing two different copies of the ‘NEM Prices’ widget:

Spot the difference between the two sides?

The difference is because of the processes underlying AEMO Intervention…. which is happening to (hopefully!) keep most of the lights on.

A massive disconnect in pricing…. watch for more pain ahead.
