Paul was one of the founders of Global-Roam in February 2000. He is currently the CEO of the company and the principal author of WattClarity. Writing for WattClarity has become a natural extension of his work in understanding the electricity market, enabling him to lead the team in developing better software for clients.
Before co-founding the company, Paul worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the Queensland Electricity Commission in the early 1990s. He also gained international experience in Japan, the United States, Canada, the UK, and Argentina as part of his ES Cornwall Memorial Scholarship.
This morning we see that there’s been another slippage of expected return to service for Callide C3 – which will now have been offline over 8 weeks since the explosion at nearby Callide C4.
With ez2view v9.8.5.1 released yesterday (Tue 30th Sept 2023) with enhancements to ‘Generator Outages’ we take the opportunity of some questions about Kogan Creek Power Station to have a look at the usefulness, and possible additional tweaks to make, to this software widget.
As December 2023 draws to a close, we take another look at return-to-service expectations for Callide C3 (a couple more weeks) and then Callide C4 (a few more months). References Nick Evans’ interesting articles.
