This afternoon, they have pointed us to this 1-page notice about ‘Estimated payments and volumes for Reliability and Emergency Reserve Trader (RERT) activation on 25 May 2021’ dated 1st June 2021:

2021-06-01-AEMO-RERT-25May-cost

Understanding that these are estimates, at this point, the AEMO notes 39MWh was dispatched – and $452,881 was paid for the emergency supply.

1)  If my maths is correct, this calculates out at $11,612.33/MWh (so below the Market Price Cap of $15,000/MWh that the market sat at for some hours); and

2)  Over the 150 minute period of dispatch, this would be an average  of 15.6MW rate of supply (if it was flat negawatt dispatch – which is not stated).

Note that actual data will be published in the quarterly RERT report due August 2021 (it will be published here).

Note that this might be the first ever time RERT has been dispatched in QLD?
