Updated animation of 20th December 2012 – a volatile day in the Queensland Region

I spoke yesterday at the All Energy 2013 conference in a session titled “Building a Clean Energy Market” – and used the example of the volatile Summer 2013 in Queensland as a way of highlighting how renewables might integrate into the broader energy market in the future.

Given that the audience included some people who are not familiar with the National Electricity Market, I updated this animation of what happened over the daylight hours of Thursday 20th December 2012 to take account of:
1)  Feedback received on the previous copy of the animation
2)  The insights generated through the completion of our extensive review of what happened over the summer; and
3)  Several upgrades released to the ez2viewAustralia software over the intervening period.

As our moderator for the afternoon session suggested, perhaps the next step will be to include a soundtrack as a background – Tim nominated the theme to Mission Impossible.  What do you suggest?
