Prompted by what’s been happening through the ‘2022 Energy Crisis’, as soon as we find the time we’ll be adding in here some widgets to provide a live updated view of forecast LOR conditions in each region.
(A) An explanation of what these LOR conditions mean
This page on the WattClarity Glossary about Low Reserve Condition (LRC) is a good place to start … noting that there are three levels of alert (which neatly fall into yellow-orange-red criteria). Apart from those levels it is important to keep in mind, first and foremost, the difference between forecast and actual conditions.
