Unplanned outage of Dapto – Marulan (8) 330 kV line

Since we wrote about the ‘Spicy prices forecast for NSW on Monday afternoon/evening 20th October 2025’, price forecasts have subsided again (as at the P30 predispatch run got 11:30).

But it remains a ‘watch this space’ and so we should highlight the unplanned outage of Dapto – Marulan (8) 330 kV line, which the AEMO flagged in MN129825 at 08:07 … which was coincidentally prior to the P30 predispatch run for 09:00 (NEM time), which was when the price forecasts stepped up:
