Yes, Tamar Valley CCGT did switch off last week (on Wednesday 27th August 2025)

A week ago (on Monday 25th August 2025) we’d noted that ‘The current burst of production at Tamar Valley CCGT coming to an end, on Thu 28th August 2025?’.

We were busy focused elsewhere through the week, but did note that ez2view ‘Notifications’ widget alert did let us know that the unit had indeed switched off on Wednesday 27th August 2025 … which was a day earlier than expected:

Using the ‘Forecast Convergence’ widget in ez2view and looking at the (recently added) PD/ST PASA data series, we can see how those usage plans came about:

With this image:

1)  Remember that the ‘Grid’ view is designed to allow one to ‘look up a vertical’ in order to see ‘that other dimension of time’

2)  Because this PD/ST PASA view is only 7 days + 7 days, I had to time-travel back to 20:00 on Thursday 28th August 2025 to fit in all the relevant machinations.  As a result, we can see the evolution of operational plans for the unit.

Flipping the ‘Forecast Convergence’ widget to now consume the  MT PASA DUID Availability data set, we can see that there’s no further usage flagged in the 3-year forward looking horizon at this point:

Finally, in the ‘Generator Outages’ widget in in ez2view we see that the Unit State is listed as ‘Basic Planned Outage’ with a recall period of 20 days, if AEMO required:
