Draft Report from the ‘Nelson Review’ Panel is released, on Wednesday 6th August 2025

In yesterday’s wrap of the past 5 weeks, I’d noted that

  • Tim Nelson (when speaking at #ACES2025 last Tuesday) said that the Panel had not quite finished the draft report,
  • but it was ‘imminent’.

So here’s a brief article today to note that the draft report of the Nelson Review panel is released today, and is accessible from the Federal DCCEEW website here.

There are essentially two linked documents as follows:

The draft Report Consultation Questions

You can download the 239-page PDF of the report here:

There’s also 4 pages of consultation questions here:

With respect to the consultation, the department notes:

  • Consultation closes on Wednesday 17th September 2025 (i.e. 6 weeks from today); and
  • To contact the ‘Nelson Review’ secretariat at NEMReview@dcceew.gov.au

So happy reading!
