NEM-wide wind generation exceeds 10GW for the first time, on Friday evening 25th July 2025

It was back on the 23rd of June that we last reported the all-time record for wind output in the NEM had been broken, reaching 9,491 MW.

A quick glance at one of our trend dashboards this morning shows that this level has been exceeded three times over the past two and a half weeks. Below is a screenshot from Paul’s Raw Wind Output trend, which he has been tracking for several years.

On Friday night we saw NEM-wide wind production hit 10,159 MW, for the 21:10 dispatch interval.
