Evening volatility on Friday 27th June 2025

Another run of energy spot price volatility occurred on Friday 27th June 2025.

The evening was not as spiky or persistent as the run of prices the day prior – Evening volatility ongoing (Thursday 26th June 2025), with NEM-wide ‘Market Demand’ above 31,000MW.

A table from ez2view’s swim lanes captures the run of Friday the 27th, as at 17:55, highlighting the intervals spanning prices above 1,000 $/MWh.

We find it was Victoria that experienced the most intervals above 1,000 $/MWh.

After 18:00 prices appear to have been subdued, below 600 $/MWh.

That’s all for now.
