Worth noting that yesterday the Reliability Panel responded to the AEMO’s first iteration of the TPSS with comments with this 4-page letter on Wednesday 23rd April 2025:
Paul was one of the founders of Global-Roam in February 2000. He is currently the CEO of the company and the principal author of WattClarity. Writing for WattClarity has become a natural extension of his work in understanding the electricity market, enabling him to lead the team in developing better software for clients.
Before co-founding the company, Paul worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the Queensland Electricity Commission in the early 1990s. He also gained international experience in Japan, the United States, Canada, the UK, and Argentina as part of his ES Cornwall Memorial Scholarship.
Another high profile report that’s been released this week is today’s Reliability Standard and Settings Review (from the Reliability Panel)… flagging some changes to settings from 1st July 2025, and some further changes after that time.
Another for your Xmas Reading List? This one from the AEMC, in publishing its Final Determination last Thursday 19th December 2024 for the ‘Integrating price-responsive resources into the NEM’.
Whilst attempting not to fall down that particular rabbit hole, adding the two Frontier Economics reports to the ‘if I had more time here’s something I’d like to read in detail’ List.
