CS Energy update on repairs to Callide C3 and C4 cooling tower

Also turning up on our radar today was this update (via LinkedIn) from CS Energy in relation to repairs of the damaged cooling towers at Callide C3 and C4 … which collapsed on 31st October 2022:

I did not see any related update on the CS Energy news site here (but did not really expect to see any).

Three other quick updates…

(A)  No change in return to service

Taking the opportunity to review again the current state of ‘Forecast Convergence’ for both Callide C units, we see the following:

{remember that the purpose of this widget is to enable the user to ‘look up a vertical’ to see ‘that other dimension of time’}

With respect to the numbered annotations, we see that:

1)  There’s no further change in return-to-service expectations since the update at the end of May 2023.

2)  A relatively short outage that was planned for September-October 2024 has been pushed further out into the future.

(B)  No further news on Dr Sean Brady’s report?

There are a number of people (including me) who are keen to have a look at the report (with respect to the failure of Callide C4 on 25th May 2021), when it is available … but I’ve not seen any news about this since that end-of-May update.

(C)  No further news on Adminstration?

Likewise, we’re keen to understand how the Administration is proceeding  … but I’ve not seen any news about this since that end-of-May update (though Sev.En Global Investments has this week agreed to acquire 51% of Coronado Coal ).
