From within that article, I’ve captured the image from the warning and roughly indicated the location of some of the wind farms in the area (not forgetting there’s a range of electricity infrastructure there, including transmission and distribution lines).
Paul was one of the founders of Global-Roam in February 2000. He is currently the CEO of the company and the principal author of WattClarity. With summer 2019-20 fast approaching, we’ll use the refresher on the two core components of risk (probability and consequence) to unpick what the real issue is with respect to concerns about overheating electricity supplies this summer, especially in the Victorian region.
With a severe weather warning issued for much of Australia (with Sydney and Brisbane almost being the only exceptions) and lasting several days, it’s timely to look at what AEMO is forecasting demand to be in the week ahead.
