South Australia hits a very low point for ‘Market Demand’ on Sunday 21st November 2021 … all the way down to *actually be below zero!*
Sunday afternoon saw demand in NSW hit new historic lows for the second weekend in a row.
Alarms in one of our NEMwatch dashboards alerted me to the plunging level of Scheduled Demand seen this afternoon in the the Victorian and South Australian regions of the NEM – a new record low point for South Australia.
The Queensland region of the NEM saw a new all-time record for peak electricity demand today (Wed 13th February 2019) by several different measures. A bit later in the evening we take a brief look at a few different factors.
Following from a steady stream of questions we receive in relation to a range of our products (but in particular with respect to “the RenewEconomy Widget”) we’ve invested some time to put this post together to explain some of what we understand about electricity demand.
