… but then the cooler change arrived in NSW, on Friday afternoon 19th December 2025

Based on the 13:45 dispatch interval (NEM time) we wrote ‘NSW ‘Market Demand’ past 12,000MW … how high will it go (on Friday 19th December 2025)?’ … and, at that time, it appeared that the demand would continue to grow.

What a difference an hour makes, because here’s NEMwatch at 14:55:

The temperature’s dropped markedly in and around Sydney, and the demand growth has abated as well…
