Whilst noting events in the NEM, on Friday 5th December 2025 we also saw EnergyAustralia report to AEMO the 19-day extension to the lengthy unplanned outage at YWPS2following ‘LP turbine issues’ experienced in August 2025.
Paul was one of the founders of Global-Roam in February 2000. He is currently the CEO of the company and the principal author of WattClarity. Given that the fire onsite ‘destroyed Tungatinah Power Station’ (to quote Hydro Tasmania) it will surprise noone that today (Mon 5th Oct 2026) Hydro Tasmania has updated the MT PASA DUID Availability data for the station to show a more staggered (and much longer) return-to-service path.
For several reasons (including as prompted by conversations with several different clients in recent days) here’s a review of rebidding at Loy Yang A1 as the unit came offline on Tuesday 20th August 2024.
