Those familiar with who we are (at Global-Roam Pty Ltd) and how we work will recall HQ is located in a (normally wonderful) riverside suburb of Brisbane … but perhaps not over the next few days with the arrival of TC Albert Alfred.
We’ve already noted about some preparations that we’ve made (and the confidence that our software and data services should continue seamlessly) … though other parts of the business (like updates here on WattClarity) might be a bit slower.
So the Brisbane-based contingent are hunkered down in various locations doing what much of the rest of the population is probably doing as well … waiting. But I did notice two Market Notices this morning (Wednesday 5th March 2025) that may already show signs of the market impact of TC Albert Alfred.
First there was MN125267 at 10:51 (NEM time) as follows:

I’m not certain that TC Albert would have contributed to this … but strong winds would likely have been felt already (the DC cable itself is not strung on towers, but the 132vV line would be, and perhaps was impacted by winds?)
PS1 … returned to service at 14:00
The AEMO followed with MN125273 as follows:
