Elevated prices on Friday morning 13th June 2025

Worth a short article with this NEMwatch snapshot at 07:50 to mark some price action this morning:

2025-06-13-at-07-50-NEMwatch

Note three other things as well:

1)  The current state of the Cumulative Price in each of the regions:

(a)  Lowest in QLD (just over $700,000/MWh) and highest in VIC (over $850,000/MWh)

(b)  So all on the way to the Cumulative Price Threshold.

2)  See a temporary dip in ‘Market Demand’ in Victoria from 07:05 (7,410MW) to 07:10 (7,091MW)

… so down 319MW

3)  See also the NEM-wide ‘Market Demand’ peaking above 30,500MW this morning

… highest 30,784MW at 07:30
