A short, belated (and back-dated) article to record that it was 4th May 2023 that the AEMC made a more preferable final rule, which amends the Integrating Energy Storage Systems into the NEM rule (IESS rule).
Paul was one of the founders of Global-Roam in February 2000. He is currently the CEO of the company and the principal author of WattClarity. Writing for WattClarity has become a natural extension of his work in understanding the electricity market, enabling him to lead the team in developing better software for clients.
Before co-founding the company, Paul worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the Queensland Electricity Commission in the early 1990s. He also gained international experience in Japan, the United States, Canada, the UK, and Argentina as part of his ES Cornwall Memorial Scholarship.
Specifically with respect to All Energy 2024, I can categorically state that the ‘Operating in the NEM’ session that was conducted on Thursday 24th October 2024 was easily the best* session I attended throughout the event.
Following the (very brief) initial article early this afternoon, here’s some more of what we have been able to determine about today’s fire at the new Victoria Big Battery facility near Geelong VIC.
It’s Saturday 25th November 2017 and what is currently known as “the worlds biggest battery” has kicked into gear – charging for a couple hours this morning.
