Yesterday afternoon at 15:30 (NEM time) we published ‘Wellington North Solar Farm offline in ST PASA data from Saturday 6th December 2025, following grassfire’:
Taking an updated look on Monday morning 8th December 2025, we see that the unit’s already come back online:
As noted:
1) The unit produced a small burst of output late yesterday afternoon:
(a) beginning ~70 minutes after we’d posted that article; and
(b) noting that both LOCL and ELAV were lower than prior levels … perhaps precautionary?
2) But this morning we see the unit’s ramping back up near maximum capacity, and the availability in ST PASA suggests no long term damage to the plant?

What the data shows, so far, is circa 10% reduction in peak output compared to the average for the previous week. Exactly in line with the fire involving a fraction over ten percent of the area covered by panels.
Monitoring for a longer period will give us a better picture but suggesting that there is no long term damage seems premature at least
Thanks for the prod, Richard … note now that ‘Wellington North Solar Farm back to 94 ELAV compared to 104 in total’.
