Hot on the heels of the suspension of the SA market on 18th February 2022, we also saw the TAS market suspended on 1st March 2022 … again due to loss of SCADA systems.
Also last week, AEMO informed the market of the availability of a report outlining 18 discrete incidents, over a period of just under 3 years, that included SCADA failure in some way. The report also discusses what has been done to rectify.

This afternoon the AEMO alerted of a market suspension in the TAS region, which coincided with the failure of two undersea fibre cables that caused parts of the state to lose internet access.
