An initial look at the current testing schedule, for NSW1-SA1

We’ve already posted (and have updated several times) the article ‘Project Energy Connect goes live today (Thursday 1st October 2026)’ that pertains to the nearer-term machinations of Project Energy Connect today.

I thought this snapshot of the ‘Constraint Sets’ widget in ez2view at the 13:25 dispatch interval on Thursday 1st October 2026 was worth a separate post – given that the focus is much longer-dated:

For future reference:

1)  There are currently planned to be three levels of testing, as we see above:

(a)  To 150MW has commenced now, and runs through until 24:00 (NEM time) on 31st January 2027;

(b)  To 350MW is slated to be invoked from 00:00 on 1st February 2027 through until 24:00 (NEM time) on 30th June 2027;

(c)  With a boost then to 550MW from 00:00 on 1st July 2027 through until 24:00 (NEM time) on 30th November 2027;

2)  Internally, we’ve used ‘Notifications’ widget in ez2view (including links to the new Mobile App) to establish a series of alerts to keep us informed about this.
