PEC Stage 2 appearing in predispatch

This article has been updated several times through Wednesday 30th September 2026.

Part 1 (published at ~08:30 NEM time)

We noted yesterday that (after we passed the the 12:30 Gate Closure #1 for Tuesday 29th September 2026:

What we could have also noted was that the ‘Interconnector Dashboard’ widget in ez2view was, from that time, showing 4 hours of data (i.e. 00:00 to 04:00 on Thursday 1st October 2026) in the P30 predispatch time horizon for Project Energy Connect.

This was a snapshot we took in the 14:00 dispatch interval (NEM time) yesterday … the display looks practically identical this morning:

This article is (at least in part) a reminder to those ez2view clients not running at least v9.19 (noting v9.20 is even better) that they have ~24 hours to do so before PEC Stage 2 goes live in dispatch timeframe…

Part 2 (published at ~13:40 NEM time)

One of our team flagged that target flows have appeared in predispatch for NSW1-SA1, so here’s an updated look at the the ‘Interconnector Dashboard’ widget in ez2view seen at the 13:35 dispatch interval (NEM time) today:

As noted in the image, first flows might be towards the west?

A reminder of the basics

For those:

  • who’d like a refresher on the high level concepts;
  • but who are not so inclined to delve into the gorier details of loop flows, TAP settings, and associated constraint equations etc …

… we wrote an article for you earlier in ‘The *basics* of how Project Energy Connect will appear in NEM Data’:
