Pre-PEC gremlins strike … AEMO notes ‘Suspect Lack Of Reserve Level 3 (LOR3) in the SA Region on 01/10/2026’

It’s almost certainly spurious, but worth noting (for interest sake) that we’ve passed the 12:30 Gate Closure #1 today and that the AEMO published MN145396 at 13:10 (NEM time) on Tuesday 29th September 2026 – looking forwards to Thursday 1st October 2026:

We did not have time (or inclination, really) to explore the source of the error in any detail – given it seemed quite likely to be some mismatch between

  • some data sets that start at midnight beginning the calendar day; and
  • other data set that start at the 04:05 dispatch interval beginning the Market/Trading Day.
