Three time-ranges of interest, with respect to aggregate ‘Dispatch Error’ by Fuel Type on Tuesday 27th January 2026

… given I’d just utilised the ‘Trends Engine’ query in ez2view to publish this daily ‘Dispatch Error’ chart for yesterday with the glitch, I thought it would be useful to wind the clock back to Tuesday 27th January 2026 (another day of keen interest) to produce the following:

2026-01-27-ez2view-Trend-DispatchError

Chart produced via the ‘Trends Engine’ in ez2view … those with licensed access to this software can access their own copy of this query here (and then quickly flip to explore different days).

Remember that this was a day of extreme heat in the south, and then a pronounced cool change.

On the image:

1)  We see that:

(a)   Semi-Scheduled units (both Wind and Large Solar) were frequently over-performing, relative to Target

(b)  with fully Scheduled units (via PFR and Regulation FCAS) working hard to keep frequency stable.

2)  I’ve draw rough boxes around three different time ranges that are of interest for further evaluation …
