Belated notice from the AEMO about RERT contracted for yesterday (Thu 14th Dec 2023)

I’d just finished a conversation with a WattClarity reader this morning noting that AEMO had not issued any notice to say RERT had actually been contracted yesterday (following negotiations noted firstly here and then here (in the context of prices at the time)), so there may have been no cost incurred …

… and (lo and behold!) the following Market Notice arrives:

Refer to AEMO Electricity Market Notice no. 112333.

AEMO has entered into a reserve contract to maintain the power system in a Reliable operating state during the following period of time;
15:30 to 19:30 hrs 14/12/2023

The latest time to activate or dispatch these reserves has now passed. No reserve contracts were activated or pre-activated.
