AEMO’s updated forecast for load shedding this evening is up to 1,454MW (i.e. about the size of Brisbane)

The wheels seem to have fallen off the energy market … at 11:51:28 AEMO updated it’s previously dire forecast for load shedding to make it even worse:

AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE

The Forecast LOR3 condition in the QLD region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 97046 has been updated at 1130 hrs to the following:

[1.] From 1700 hrs 13/06/2022 to 2300 hrs 13/06/2022.
The maximum load (other than interruptible loads) forecast to be interrupted is 1454 MW at 1730 hrs.

AEMO is seeking a market response.

AEMO estimates the latest time it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event is 1230 hrs on 13/06/2022
