Belatedly noting v2.0 of the ‘NEM Readiness Guide’ (and Checklist) by the AER, released on 29th August 2025

I was on a call earlier and someone helpfully circulated a link to the document ‘NEM Readiness Guide v2.0’, released by the AER on 29th August 2025:

We’d not noted this at the time when this was published, but thought it would be useful to do so now.  The table of contents gives some indications of what it covers:

Searching through the AER Communications history, we find that:

1)  On 29th August 2025 they published the update ‘AER releases PASA Compliance Bulletin and Checklist’ …

…  which we (a little less) belatedly noted in our article ‘Belatedly noting that the AER published its PASA Compliance Bulletin and Checklist (back on Friday 29th August 2025)’

2)  But what’s particularly worth noting is:

(a)   that this AER update includes the text:

‘The new PASA Compliance Bulletin refreshes the AER’s expectations around PASA compliance that were previously included as part of the AER’s NEM Readiness Guide. The new standalone Bulletin focuses on PASA obligations and relevant updates for participants to be aware of, while the checklist sets out tasks that may assist participants to achieve compliance.’

(b)   With the second link in that passage pointing to the page ‘NEM Readiness Guide and Checklist’.

(c)  With that page pointing to this 4-page ‘NEM Readiness Guide Checklist’:

As noted above, we’d not noted this at the time – but some readers here might appreciate the  belated head’s up.
