We’ve not long wrapped up a couple of busy days associated with All Energy 2025 and other activities in Melbourne.
I’ve already posted about ‘The ‘Reform of the NEM’ session at the tail end of Day 2 of All Energy 2025’ … but these were not the only presentations of interest. Earlier on Day 2 in the ‘National Electricity Markets’ session there were a number of interesting presentations, including one from David Dixon.
Now i’ve hear Rystad present three times within the past two months:
- Back in early September at CEC’s QCES 2025, David noted that ‘we’re moving fast, but not fast enough’
- At the NEMdev 2025 conference, there was also input from Rystad (though more from a global perspective)
- and now there was today at All Energy 2025.
Now, we might come back later to more of what David presented, but I thought it would be useful this week to present this slide that helped illustrate the gap between aspiration and reality, in terms of new capacity additions (especially with respect to wind farms):
That’s all for now…
